We closely monitor the weather for our Outdoor Pool operations. If it is determined that a closure is required, ALL Outdoor Aquatic Venues - The Outdoor Leisure Pool, Washington Park Wading Pool, and Splash Pad at Undine Park will be closed.

Weather & Lightning Closure Procedure:

For the patron safety in the Outdoor Leisure Pool, we will close for the following circumstances:

• Air Temperature: is not above 65 degrees Fahrenheit
• Outdoor Slide: Lightning withing 20 miles (due to its elevation)
• Outdoor pools: Lightning within 8 miles or when lightning is seen, or thunder heard
• Torrential Rain/High Wind: prohibits Lifeguards from safely seeing the bottom of the pool.
• Indoor Slide: Lightning within 8 miles.
• All Pools: When pumps turn off due to electrical failure.

** The pools will remain closed for 30 minutes following the last lightning strike.

** Patrons must move inside during any closure.

** If pools close with less than 2 hours left until closing time, and weather doesn't look like it will improve shortly, the pools may be closed for the remainder of the day.
