COVID-19 Swim Lesson Update: Based on the guidelines issued by the CDC to exercise at least 6’ distance between people, the American Red Cross has advised that there is nearly no reasonable accommodation to effectively meet that guideline and successfully meet the objectives of our Learn to Swim program. With this in mind, we will be postponing our April Swim Lesson Session to a later date, once we can be certain that individuals will be able to have safe contact. Once we reschedule our swim lesson session, we’ll notify all participants of the new dates and time. We appreciate your patience as we put the health of our community first!
The City of Laramie offers swim lessons taught by American Red Cross Certified instructors. Group lessons are available for children ages 6 months to 12 years old. Lessons for the current season are posted in our Program Guideand available for registration On-line.
Private Swim Lessons
**Due to popular demand, private swim lesson availability will be limited through April 26, 2020.**
Private Swim Lessons are also taught by Red Cross Certified Instructors and are scheduled directly with the instructor at a mutually agreed upon time. To sign up for lessons, sign up at our On-line site and fill out the Swim Lesson Request form. An instructor will contact you to arrange times and dates. Please allow at least a week for contact.
Private lessons are available for both youth and adults and are a great way to refine or catch up on water skills. Please fill out a separate form for each person signing up for a private lesson. One form can be used for "semi-private" or two-person lessons.
