2. Community Bulletin Board Media Review Request

   Community Bulletin Board Guidelines:

   The Recreation Center’s digital community bulletin board is intended to share local information about events, programs, and services that provide a direct educational, recreational, cultural, or civic benefit to the public. Eligibility is determined by the nature of the advertised resource/activity rather than the identity or affiliation of the hosting organization. 

   • All submitted media should be submitted in PNG or JPG format. Approved postings will remain on the bulletin board until the event has passed or for a maximum of 30 days.

   The Recreation Center Staff reserve the right to make final eligibility calls on all content, regardless of whether it meets the above criteria. We maintain sole discretion to remove any media or modify these requirements at any time.

13. Detailed Content Eligibility Rules:

    Examples of eligible postings may include community meals, educational workshops, health clinics, cultural performances, volunteer service opportunities, or recreational events. 

    Events hosted by political or religious organizations may be eligible for posting if the advertised activity: 

    • Is open to the public
    • Provides a direct community service, educational, cultural, or recreational benefit
    • Does not require participation in or adherence to political or religious beliefs
    • Is not intended to influence electoral, legislative, or religious outcomes

    Submissions are not eligible for display if they: 

    • Promote or advertise commercial products or services
    • Promote political candidates, parties, or ballot measures
    • Advocate for or against public policy positions
    • Advertise religious worship services or activities intended to advance or promote a specific faith or belief system 
    • Include membership recruitment for political or religious organizations
    • Advertise campaign activities or events intended to influence electoral outcomes
    • Promote fundraising efforts that are ideological or advocacy-based in nature

    The Recreation Center Staff reserve the right to make final eligibility determinations on all submitted materials and may remove posted content that no longer aligns with these guidelines. Requirements are subject to change at any time. 

    Official Communications 

    The Recreation Center may display communications that sit outside of the previously mentioned parameters, including informational materials regarding municipal ballot measures, City initiatives, or public policy matters that directly impact City services or operations. Such materials are not considered community submissions and will be displayed at the discretion of the City.
