Laramie Fire Department Responds to Residential Smoke Investigation
Laramie, WY — At approximately 12:45 p.m. on December 13th the Laramie Fire Department was dispatched to a report of smoke inside a residence. Upon arrival, crews found light smoke within the home and located a small fire, which was quickly extinguished.
Responding units included Engine 3, Ladder 5, Engine 4, Unit 46, and MS 144. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was determined to be a faulty furnace. The Laramie Fire Department reminds residents to regularly inspect and service their furnaces and heating systems especially with the changing of the seasons to help prevent similar incidents.
