Hot Coals - Good for grilling, bad for the trash.

Melted Cart

Make sure that any coals, ashes, wood pellets, cigarettes and fireworks are completely cold before placing in the trash.  Even if they appear cool, it's a good idea to wet them down and wait before disposing.  A melted cart would cost a household $60.  However, a fire could end up burning a fence, house, trash truck or the landfill.  To learn how to properly dispose or recycle hundreds of items download the app, "Laramie Waste and Recycling".  For more information, visit: www.cityoflaramie.org/solidwaste or call (307) 721-5279.
