Alleyways are maintained by the Streets Division and are not the responsibility of citizens. If you wish to voice a concern, please call 721-5276.
Service trucks (Streets, Solid Waste, etc.) need to maneuver through alleyways, and therefore they need to be kept clear of any obstacles. The only maintenance adjoining homeowners are required to perform is to keep the alley adjacent to their property free of trash and weeds. We have noticed that some residents plant flower beds and frequently use landscaping timbers to border them. The City cannot be held liable for any damage to these structures, should one of our trucks hit them..
The City Code Nuisance Inspector frequently inspects alleyways for weeds offenders and takes appropriate action.
