Q. Why did the city change their ordinance allowing parking of campers, trailers, cars and various types of recreational vehicles/items on streets of Laramie? These vehicles/items are hazardous. One section of east Curtis Street has two large campers and sometimes a utility trailer parked in a two block area. Ice builds up, leaves, thistles collected under them and visibility is difficult around the items not moved for nine months. Do not understand.
A. At the urging of many community members, this change in policy was made by the City of Laramie, City Council in 2016 and received much support by residents. If you notice any trailers or vehicles that are illegally or hazardously parked, please report your concerns to Dispatch at 307-721-2526.
