There is a city-wide leash law in Laramie. All animals walking or exercising off their owner's real property (either dog or cat), must be on a leash and that leash must be in the hands of a person capable of physically controlling that animal. Electronic collars are not compliant. Voice control is not compliant.
There are three designated off leash dog park areas in the city of Laramie. One is in Optimist Park at the intersection of West Garfield and Snowy Range Road. The second is in the open area just off of Harney and 22nd Streets in the Aragon Sports Complex. The last is an unfenced area in the north end of Depot Park at 1st and Kearney Streets.
