Command Staff

The Laramie Police Department Upper Command Staff consists of the Chief of Police, Assistant Chief, Patrol Lieutenant, Investigations Lieutenant, Police & Community Services Lieutenant and the PSAP Administrator. They each have unique responsibilities and are accountable for the day to day operational and policy decision making. They make final recommendations to the Chief of Police on personnel matters. These commanders and supervisors also serve in variety of ways to carry out the mission of the Police Department.

Chief of Police

The Chief of Police works daily to set the direction of the department, answers community concerns, concerns of the police department staff and facilitates obtaining the necessary resources for the Police Department. The Chief of Police also develops good working relationships with the Command Level personnel at other local police and public safety agencies.
