During the COVID pandemic, we ask the public to post a defendants bond at the Albany County Detention Center.
Our office will not give you a cash refund. Refunds will be in the form of a check. Bonds will not be refunded until the case is completely finalized. Refunds are processed on Wednesdays, with checks being sent out on Fridays.
If the defendant was arrested because of a failure to comply warrant, the money that is posted must go towards the defendant’s fines.
Appearance Bond Conditions
If you need to modify any conditions of your bond, please fill out a Bond Modification Form and submit it to the court during normal business hours.
