Personal Trainer Information

Do you need some help developing a fitness program and feeling comfortable with the equipment available at the Recreation Center? Or are you looking to take your workout to the next level? The services of certified trainers are available to members of the Laramie Community Recreation Center! Our certified personal trainers will help you work out at a level to effectively achieve your goals. Whatever your fitness needs, consider calling the Recreation Center, 721-5269, to begin your individualized fitness program!

  • Available at the Recreation Center, by appointment only.
  • 16 yrs + (exceptions considered). 
  • 24-hour notice required for registration and cancellation.
  • Single sessions for Individual members: $30
  • Single sessions for two (2) members: $40

Personal Trainers on staff:

Katherine Goyn

Katherine is an American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Personal Trainer with a B.S. in Physiology and is currently working towards a master's in Nutrition. She likes working with clients to help them achieve overall well-being and strength development. She believes that physical wellness facilitates improvements in all facets of life and can help increase longevity and resistance to age-related diseases.

Clint Swierczek

Coach Swiz is an American Council on Exercise (ACE) Certified Personal Trainer with a degree in Physical Education & Health from the University of Wyoming. He is a retired educator and current coach with nearly 40 years of experience in the areas of fitness, wellness, and athletics. He currently specializes in senior fitness and wellness and enjoys working with all ages to help them maintain a healthy lifestyle. 

Cody Wheeler

Cody is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer with a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Wyoming. She is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist with a Level 1 Certification in Functional Movement Systems & a Level 1 USA Weightlifting Certification.


How to begin:

-Member completes a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q). If necessary, the member must seek medical clearance from a physician. Both these forms are available at the Recreation Center Front Desk, or they may be downloaded below.

-Choose a personal trainer from the options above and list them on the Personal Trainer Request Form along with your preferred days and times to train.

-The Personal Trainer will contact you within a week to schedule your first session.

-The first 30-minute consultation is free. 

-Every session thereafter, the member should check-in at the Front Desk and pay, the member will receive a receipt for their records and a receipt to give to the Personal Trainer.
