Join the Fed Up Challenge

What is it???

After the launching of the movie Fed Up, 65,000 people joined the Fed Up Team for a 10-day challenge to go completely sugar free!
They started by cutting sodas and other sweetened beverages and foods that have added sugars. They ate real, fresh, whole foods and lay off all products that contain added sugar including:

* All liquids sugars
* Sodas
* Bottled tea
* Fruit juice
* Sports drink
* All artificial sugars and sugar substitutes

No exceptions!

It sounds tough because it is tough, but we will pull each other through and
end up feeling so much better!
Artificial sweeteners slow your metabolism and make you crave and eat more food. Also, be aware of foods that may have hidden sugars, like yogurt, canned foods, spaghetti sauce, and ketchup.

Are you up for the challenge????

 A 20-ounce bottle of soda contains
the equivalent of approximately 17
teaspoons of sugar.
In the United States, it is estimated that 93 million Americans are affected by obesity.
 One soda a day increases a child's chance
of obesity by 60%.
Individuals who drink one or two sugar-sweetened beverages per day have a 26% higher risk for
developing Type II Diabetes.
Kids watch an average of 4,000 food related
ads every year, which is 10/day.

More than 9 million adolescents
(children and teens 6-19 years old) are considered overweight.
In 2015, Americans consumed an average
of 170 pounds of sugar in a year.

It will take a person that weighs 110 pounds 75 minutes of bike riding to burn off the calories in one 20 ounce bottle of soda.
There is overwhelming evidence of the link between obesity and the consumption of sweetened beverages, such as soft drinks,
energy drinks, sweet teas, and sports drinks.
