Mosquito Control

The risk of West Nile Virus (WNv) infection is rated at level 1(Low Risk). Mosquito operations are in full swing. Crews are applying biological larvacide to wetland areas in and around Laramie. Fogging operations  are ongoing to control vector mosquitoes. Surveillance crews have are testing mosquitos for West Nile Virus.  Currently one mosquito pool and 2 bird samples have tested positive for WNv in Albany County.
